Compliance Assistance: Wages & the Fair Labor Standards Act

The Fair Labor Standards Act establishes minimum wage, overtime pay, recordkeeping, and youth employment standards affecting employees in the private sector and in Federal, State, and local governments. This workshop will present information you need to know about whether your employees are covered by Federal law, which employees are entitled to minimum wage and overtime, which employees might be exempt employees, how to properly calculate overtime, and what must be done to comply with recordkeeping and child labor requirements. Taught by a former wage and hour investigator, this workshop will be practical, cover common violations to avoid, and allow opportunity for questions and answers.
