Governor Phil Scott Declares May 17th the 3rd  Annual Vermont Gives Day of Giving

In acknowledgement of the important role Vermont’s nonprofit sector plays in the state’s economy, Governor Phil Scott recently declared May 17th, the 3rd Annual “Vermont Gives Day of Giving.”

Vermont Gives is a 24-hour fundraising event, created by Vermonters for Vermonters, to support local charities and causes, highlight the impact of nonprofits, and strengthen our local communities. Last year’s Day of Giving raised more than $101,000 for over 170 nonprofit organizations statewide representing a variety of communities and causes.

Visit VermontGives.org and join us in supporting Vermont nonprofits!  Together in celebration of nonprofits and philanthropy, communities will join together for 24 hours to raise as much money as they can to support the nonprofits that enrich our state while reaffirming the belief that anyone can help another person.

Vermont Gives is made possible with support from the Vermont Community Foundation, People’s United Community Foundation, Green Mountain Power, and Center for New Leadership.
