Your participants, donors and volunteers serve as your nonprofit’s most important ambassadors; each one has a compelling story to tell that highlights your organization’s value. Learn how to create these poignant profile-stories for your website, social media platforms, and fundraising campaigns.

We’ll practice interviewing techniques that extract meaningful quotes, learn best practices for structuring compact stories (i.e. Humans of New York), and review photography basics for taking striking visual portraits of your subjects.

Our afternoon lab will conclude with your designing a story portrait in Canva (free, simple online graphic design app), bringing together words and image for a powerful story portrait.
